Ian is a seasoned commercial litigator who also served as General Counsel for an international manufacturer of building supplies. As a litigator, Ian has successfully tried numerous construction and employment cases.  As General Counsel, Ian has negotiated hundreds of millions of dollars of credit facilities, commercial leases, real estate transactions and supply/licensing agreements. Ian's experience as both a corporate and litigation attorney allows him to efficiently counsel his clients.

  • Represented a multinational corporation in a contract negotiation with a construction manager for the construction of a multimillion dollar addition to a facility.

  • Negotiated numerous multimillion dollar contracts for architects and engineers on construction projects.

  • Represented builders, owners, architects, engineers, and contractors in contract negotiations and breach of contract claims, delay claims, and defective construction claims

  • Represented a national window supplier in a multimillion dollar warranty and defect claim.

Real Estate

  • Represented an integrated developer with leasing for its large scale mixed use retail and lifestyle centers, including some of the most famous retailers in the world.

  • Represents national retail tenants in lease-up of new locations.

  • Represented REIT in development and lease-up of shopping centers.

  • Involved in numerous other real estate transactions representing developers, borrowers, lenders, sellers, buyers, landlords, tenants, investors, brokers and managers of shopping centers, retail, office, industrial and residential properties.

  • Successfully Negotiated on behalf of international manufacturer with NYCIDA to expand landholdings operational capacity. 

Corporate & Business Law

  • Represented owners, operators, and managers in complex, multimillion dollar acquisitions and divestitures of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities throughout the United States.

  • Served as lead negotiator for a variety of multimillion dollar purchase contracts, licensing and supply agreements with Fortune 500 Companies.

  • Represented purchaser in a multimillion dollar roll up acquisition of building supply company from a Fortune 500 Company.
